He āhua rite ki te kōauau tēnei taonga. Kotahi noa te rerekē, ko tētahi pito he piko. Ka whakatāngihia ma te waha me te ihu hoki.

Scope Note

This instrument is similar to the kōauau/traditional flute with one difference being that one end is turned upward. It can be blown by either the mouth or the nose.
