He whara, rite ki te harakeke, engari ko ngā rau rite kē ki o te raupō. Mumura ana te whero o ngā pua. Ko te Motu o Manawa Tāwhi tōna kāinga tūturu, engari e whāia ana i ēnei rā hei whakatō ki nga tinaku.

Scope Note

A coastal flax-like plant with a flat leaf like the raupō/bulrush, and a bright red flower head like a toothbrush. It is found naturally only at the Poor Knights Islands, but is now widely cultivated in gardens. Xeronema callistemon.
